Refined, distinguished, tactile, sincere and stable; the concept for this design project was to offer a comprehensive design that truly reflected the character of the owners and perfectly fit all the essentials with intention. A minimal approach to materials and details of the space was a core value of the design. The domestic kitchen was designed and developed in line with needs for high performance and practicality, without compromising the clean lines and modern elegance. The custom wine cellar is the central focal point, separating the kitchen and living areas from the adjacent utilitarian spaces. The use of natural materials: wood, metal and stone; celebrate the senses and the large expanses of glass allow for full harmony between oneself and one’s surrounding.

NATURE BALANCE

Transparent, open, flexible, simple and receiving, the basis of this transformation is to be engaged with nature, bringing the outdoors in and creating an open plan environment of a fluid, versatile and comfortable space. Only the minimum furniture and art work are used, such that each object has its own breathing space. The site is perched on the edge of a beautiful river, a perfect terrain and orientation, providing the canvas to create a tranquil refuge to unwind after busy, daily life. Every floor has its own function to address the client’s lifestyle. The ground floor has an open space area including the kitchen, dining and sitting areas. The feature of the living room is the floating fireplace which is centrally positioned, complementing the design without obstructing the view of the flowing river. The second floor features the master bedroom, walk-in, master bathroom and secondary bedroom with wide sight lines and an uncluttered aesthetic. The lower basement level took an eccentric color palette with unique components to ensure the space was fun and uplifting.
